I finally obtained a 348 and getting things ready for a 2019 install .
I have a question about this whole in the back of engine , on my older 283/327 there was something like it on top in the back is this a crankcase breather of some sort ? Same as small block ? can you supply a link and or a parts catalog that I should get anyway
Thanks Dan

Phil , so it was basically just like my 216/235 Stovebolt engines they just filtered the crankcase gas to the road . I almost ended up with the wrong "Show cars " company [ some fiberglass deal that tends to be unreliable ] So thanks for the good info ...

Welcome to the zoo. That hole is for the road draft tube that was used on these engines pre PCV.Show Cars sells a kit to convert this to a PCV system.I believe pn 1087 will suit your needs.
Not sure of the part number, but I used their conversion kit. Works well, Carmine.
