Criteria for used pistons

I have about two dozen standard bore original "377" forged pistons, and want to select the best eight out of them. First I measured 'em, then put 'em in two piles, depending on the valve relief cut.

So what do I look for next in terms of importance?

Condition and gap of ring lands?
What do I look for in terms of the skirts?

What else?
