Custom 2x4 Intake manifold

Hi
I pickup a interesting 2x4 intake manifold obviously custom made and I am thinking of using this for some Holley carbs and mount them sideways. I was wondering what some of you think on this.

Thanks

Chris

Depends on what it's being bolted to and what the intended usage is. Without specifics, I would say for a street car you would very likely be happier with that edelbrock in the background. If it's a race car, it could very well go either way. There are definite deficiencies in that intake though who ever made it did a nice job with what they started with. If you do try it, for sure put at least 1" spacers on it.

The manifold in the background a Edlebrock 5408 which is supposed to be a small port one but it is a large port which is Edelbrock 5409

Update on a inline 2x4 Holley carburetors. One manifold is single plane and the other is a Edelbrock dual plane with adapters both will fit and clear. I will probably do the adapters first and see how it goes.

Yes on both manifolds. The single plane manifold I will need to put a space on front carburetor to clear thermostat housing unless I can find a low profile thermostat housing

You make and should sell them spacers and adapters. I was able to use the Offy adapters and put my FST carbs on the Offy small port dual quad intake but had to use the factory distributor for clearance then use the small MSD cap on it, but it works

I have one for my 63 Belair build. Russ Campbell is looking to buy one. He had one on his 62 that he sold to Grumpy (Dick MacKinzie) He inquired about mine and I’m hanging on to it.:D I like yours 88m5:goodE2E87D93-889A-417E-84A7-9FF2DDC1A540.jpeg
