Are you guys using the Edelbrock head bolts or going with ARPs? I'd feel better using ARPs myself....or are the Edelbrock bolts in fact rebranded ARP hardware? :dunno

Head bolts

Being curious I ordered a set of each from Summit.

ARP #135-3602, 348/409 OE heads.........$86.95

EDL-8581, Edelbrock bolts for edelbrock alum. heads.......$147.

I could find no difference. Same length, same marking on top.

I was thinking this could be the case. Pay more for the Edelbrocks and there is no difference. At least the Edelbrocks are in fact ARPs. Anyone else know anything about these and if there is in fact a difference in the bolts? I'm going to order the ARPs since they are significantly cheaper :clap

Not sure if there is a difference in lengths, generally E heads are different than stock, and they have ARP not allowed to sell them as a package for a year or two,at least they did that with the Pontiac heads/bolts. ARP makes Edelbrock's bolt sets.

I'll measure my set if you want and see what lengths they are.

Gerry said above the Edelbrock bolts are exactly the same lengths as the standard ARP head bolts. I just was wondering if there was anything special because the heads are aluminum versus iron etc :dunno Doubt it.
