Debating on 409...

Hi,

I'm talking with a guy who claims he has a 350Hp original 409 in a 63 impala 4 door hardtop...

could it be an engine truck? the guy claims the car is original... WTF???

As far as I know there never was such a thing as a 350hp 409. My guess is that it's a 340hp.

You could get a 340 hp 409 in any full size chevy in 1963. Relatively speaking, a 340hp 409 in a dressed-up 4dr ht or Impala wagon isn't totaly out of the question, relatively speaking! I've seen a 409 wagon and 4dr 63 Impala. Most likely its a powerglide. Post some pics if you can!!
