Difference in '61 body trim material ?

Hi,
just wondering:
how come my '61 bubbletop has stainless steel trim all around,while my '61 sport sedan has all aluminum trim.
Both don't look aftermarket.Is this original on each car? Does the aftermarket sell both materials? I need replacement trim parts for both of them,but I can not mix them...

All 61 Chevrolets had aluminum trim except for the window trim, that was stainless.

As Tommy said all the side molding, grill, headlight & headlight bezels were bright anodized aluminum while the front & rear window moldings as well as the roof rail and belt line moldings on Impala were stainless.

yes,you all where right.Its aluminum.Checked again.the trim on my sedan is so dull,that I thought the trim on the coupe was stainless.Its only high polished and is really shiny.Since the window trim and beltline moldings are stainless,I supposed the other trim is also stainless.

I think the windshield trim is stainless because it's harder to dent when you have to beat it on with your hand!
