Driveshaft Length ?

I got a 63 impala 283 3-speed column shift. I 'm going to be installing a 409 with a T-10. I already have a proper steering column for a floor shift manual. After I get the trans , my question is and I'm assuming the Saginaw and Borg-Warner are different sizes. Will the current driveshaft still work or do I need to replace it ? Any knowledge or suggestions on this matter is greatly appreciated. THANKS

The front driveshaft dimension is 24 5/8" in length. If you have .shortened yours, you must clock the middle u-joint..

Phil is correct -I think that length is center to center of u-joints.
