The 2006 Eagle catalog lists a 4 inch stroker crank for the 409 that is internally balanced and a 4340 forging. I called Eagle and talked to Tim and he said that yes it is true and they should start arriving in about three weeks. Price he said is listed at $795.00 but jobber will be less. (my dealer said about $650.00). Then I asked if the mains and snout were turned down or the block had to be lined bored? He said he didn't know and would call me back, which he did and said that the mains were 409 but the snout is big block, so you would have to graft on a big block seal on your timing cover. (which i did on mine). Over all this is way cheaper than what I did 16 years ago.
