electronic ignition questions

I have been building a 348 for my 61 belair. I have put a Mallory E Spark conversion in the original distributor, do I need to run a hotter plug or change the gap. Will I need to install a ballast resistor in the car (originally a 6cyl). I am breaking in the engine on a running engine stand, I assume I will need to install a ballast on it but does that depend on the voltage from the coil? And finally should I use a higher voltage coil. It has 11:1 pistons but bored 30 so maybe 10.5 with a 325 HP cam (or equivalent from show cars) the engine or car will not be hot rodded any help would be appreciated, thanks

E spark conversion requires a 1.4 ohm resistor. You need not change the coil unless you do not run a resistor. Gap can stay a .035"
