I know the 235 outweighs a small block but I forget the exact dry wts. What does a 348 weigh compared to those?

The 348 and we can assume 409 weighs 115 lbs more than a 283 according to the 348-409 book from HOT ROD Magazine. I am still looking for the weight figure.
Now if we know what a 283 weighs....
I just put one in where a 6 cylinder once resided, and found no problem with the springs. Time will tell.

I do remember that a 235 6cyl out weighs the small block, don't remember the exact number. 40-60lbs?
it made the CG of the z about perfect...but no help with the actual weight.
