Fall Carlisle

Anyone make it to Carlisle this week? John (paintjohn), Skip (painthelper), Robert Street and I spent the last couple days at Carlisle PA fall event. Weather was fair Thursday except for a gully washer that ripped through around 3 PM. Yesterday was a pretty good day all in all.
Not a whole lot of “W” powered cars in attendance. I’m sure I may have missed at least one or two though (can’t cover the ground the way I used to

). Anyway here are few I found.

Cool 58 in the car corral.

This isn’t “W” powered but is an OUTSTANDING car. The seller wanted $50 LARGE for it. (not quite that outstanding)

This 61 was lookin’ pretty good!

“Fatride” wannabe looked pretty good too. Owner wanted $34,500.

I always have to slip in a Pontiac or two. How about a 421, 4 speed, Tri-power?

I love the white '60. A bit out of my price range but would love to hit I-81 and take that beauty home!

Didn't get to Carlisle. I never seem to make the fall event. By this time of the year, I'm either broke or just burned out from working on cars. This year it's major burn out. Still lots to get done before the snow flies.

That white '60 was sold here locally late summer 2010 for $22,000. The new owner removed the mag wheels, and from what I saw on E-Bay last week, did a little cleaning and painting on the undercarriage. Solid car though, originally from Kansas. Not an original 348 4-speed car.

We had 3 cars in the auction so I was busy with them but I "previewed" a couple of interesting auction cars. The photo quality isn't the best but maybe the cars are from a member's area and they have better photos and information.
