 The Race Car has been a different animal this year. We have gottten a new tire this year which is a much better tire then the Hoosiers we used last year. The schedule has been pared down and we just have to many rain outs to keep on top of the game. Well that stops now the ACT Tour is coming to town and we aim to kick some A$$ when they do. The Good Year tire is a much stiffer side wall and the spring rate of the tire has taken us down a couple of wrong roads so back at square one we took the car to Thursday pratice with a new set up and on a green track ran some fast laps before we got rain. The driver has finally got smile back on his face so watch out the competition.

It's about time

:cool: Well after a long dry spell We finally got to rade the car with our driver. The week before last our driver had an inner ear infection and a bout with some vertigo. We went to the track last week and he did one lap and parked the car caause he was dizzy. He took the green in the race to pick up last place pionts. a caution came out so we put a Modified driver in the seat to get as many pionts we could but six laps later he got the back end of an accident and pushed the nose down and pulled off 8 laps after the re-start due too high temp. With the driver all better this week we had the mid season champianship race so we time trialed for a third place start and ran 47 laps to the first caution in second place. On the re-start that sm295 tranny hopped us right to the front of the pack and we won with 3 car space over the rest of the field. Now we are 4th in pionts with 2 wins on the season.

Racing back to basics or as close as you can get

 Well win #3 on the season and it was back to basics and a lot of re- engineering between last weeks ACT Tour race where we came in 8th and pushed like a dump truck to a great turning car with a ton of foward bite. We got back to having our fast laps from middle to the end of the race instead of the past around lap 5. Last night the driver put down 7 laps in a row of 15.56 times. Of coarse we had to rip off all the suspension and educate the Track officials on why we run components differently then our other competitors. Jr. Johnson wold have been proud of use we had in the rules reasons for our deviations. With the data we gaathered last night we have changes to add to what we have to go even faster for the next Tour race.

Wreckers or Checkers Season

:crazy Once again we are a rocket ship and taken out in lap7 when the pionts leader couldn't hold us back from passing him so he tured left and hooked us and cut down a right rear tire and spun us around. We got another tire on and got back into the fight only to come in sixth. Can't waite to get this monkey off our back and just race and have fun.

15.287 fast lap of the night

:cool:You gotta love that cool air and a track rubbered up. We went out in the last practice with some last week scuffs and ran low 4 then down the 3's and then the 15,287. The evening ny Race time had cooled another 10 degrees and we didn't touch the Car (a mistake it tghten up some) started 8th a first lap malee scrabled the field. We ran consistant 4's from the re start and came in second about a lap or two from being able to pass the leader. Nice when we are not being wrecked and run fast.:clap

Yea man! Keep her rolling. My guy is still in second place with one night of racing left. I will be driving the car this week in a pitman race at the end of racing if there is anything left of the car. Derry, I have not forgotten to get a copy of the rules, just waiting to get them.

New Track Record 15.175

Well I am actually a week behind. Last weekend we ran second after an early race tangle we marched forward and just not enough time to get by the leader so we finished second. This week was the last points week of racing and we fine tuned the suspension gains we made in the last couple of weeks. In the heat race we got drug back on the outside lane from forth to eight and then prceeded to go forward and when we got to second we had 3 laps to catch the leader and put down a 15.175 lap down. In the Feature Race was pretty much the same drug back and then quickly pushing to the front to win three of the season and a spot in the Tour Race next week. All and all this season was a let down from the last 3 seasons witch had double digit wins in all 3 seasons. The field is much better this season but we have been the fastest each and every week and wrecks have cost us from our goals of 40 wins in four seasons so we have to settle for 34 wins and holding track record and lowering by 4 tenths over 4 years.

Stick a Fork in this season

:bang We were all ready for the season finally Tour Race. Fast right off the trailer on old tires running in the 15.3's. Put new tires on and went out to scuff them in and slowed. Checked stagger and sway bar made adjustments and got a chance for another scuff session motor started ticking and lost 4 tenths on the watch. Houston I think we have a problem. These are sealed motors so we can't lift the intake and change the bad lifterand check the lobe on the cam so our week end is over be fore we even get started. Just wait til next year.:cuss
