The markings are correct for my old squadron VT-27 but the blue color is not. I just wanted something different than the standard red and white or gray as most of them are. The number 743 is the number of the airplane that had my name on it back in 73-76 when I was flying them with the Navy.The boomerang on the tail is a squadron marking .......since a boomerang always comes back we figured that having one on the airplane would ensure that it always came home. We never lost one while I was there so I guess it worked.
Thanks for all the comments. It really bothered me that I felt like I never finished it as long as it wasn't painted but paint costs money. I decided to just do it and got a good deal from the paint shop.

Training new pilots….The Navy doesn't get as much money as the AF so 50 gph on the recips goes a lot farther on the budget than 350+ gph on the jets……besides, "Jets Are For Kids", real airplanes have rudder trim.
