The markings are correct for my old squadron VT-27 but the blue color is not. I just wanted something different than the standard red and white or gray as most of them are. The number 743 is the number of the airplane that had my name on it back in 73-76 when I was flying them with the Navy.The boomerang on the tail is a squadron marking .......since a boomerang always comes back we figured that having one on the airplane would ensure that it always came home. We never lost one while I was there so I guess it worked.You sure have good reason to be proud of that Cecil.

Training new pilots….The Navy doesn't get as much money as the AF so 50 gph on the recips goes a lot farther on the budget than 350+ gph on the jets……besides, "Jets Are For Kids", real airplanes have rudder trim.What did the Navy use prop planes for in 73-76?
