Jesus Christ was the only figure in history from eternity past until now to make the claims that he did, and come through on them. At Lazarus' death, he told someone who was having a rough time believing, that "I am the resurrection and the life". He then proceeded very effectively to demonstrate resurrection power undeniably and indisputably. Christmas is when we celebrate Christ's advent,that is, His first coming to show us that He is the Way,the Truth, and the Life.Good Friday is when we observe His eternal sacrifice for a sin-ridden society known as humanity. Easter is when we celebrate His resurrection, and his everlasting power over sin, death, the grave, and anything else man needs. The Second Coming of Christ will result in a celebration that will never end. Forty days after the resurrection, He ascended, publically and in full view of many. The eternal promise at that point was the one that states," As you have seen him go into Heaven, so shall he return". May we ever joyfully celebrate and excitedly anticipate His return. This world sure needs it.
