Heater box question

Happy Holidays everybody! Since we are in the mid winter stretch up here in the great midwest, I have been tinkering with the Impala a little bit.

I missing some pieces that attach the cables to the heater box. The problem is....I don't know what I am missing!! Does anyone have under hood pics of a non-air 61 which will show how the control cables attach to the heater box on the firewall? My cables are just laying on top of the heater box. I looked through the service manual and it is hard to tell what is what on the little cartoon drawings.

What would you call the silver 'Z' shaped parts that the loop on the end of the cable fits over? I think that is what I am missing.

That's a little wire that goes from the lever on the heater box to the lever on the heater control.

So far as I know, they are not repo'd, you need to look for a donar car.
