Homemade oil screen pick up installation tool.

I decided to take some parts laying around the shop and make me a Pneumatic Oil pump pick up tube installation tool. And it works perfect!

I use a 5/8 wrench and a hammer, but have been called a barbarian at times. That looks quicker for sure.

I just used a cresent wrench and adjust tight to tube and tap with a hammer crescent presses on raised part of tube.

You need to add the mig welder torch option so you can quickly tack the tube to the pump!

I myself used to use a open end wrench and a hammer, I now am more Sophisticated .

On your recommendation I just sent in for the Eastwood paint stripping tool contour sct I believe……Looks pretty slick

Fantastic Idea, What I have always done is freeze the end of the pickup tube in dry ice and head the area around the opening with my small propane torch. You can just push the tube right in but I sure like that tool you made. Ok , I have to go out to the garage now. Later.
