how much should i ask?

have the numbers matching 6 cyl and 3 speed tranny out of my 59 Biscayne. A freind wants to buy it to rebuild for a truck project. It had 76k original miles on it when pulled and ran excallent. What would be a fair price?

:? What do you mean #'s matching? To me that means an origenal motor and trans to that car not the truck project. Now if he wants a 59 date correct engine and transmission would make it worth more to him. A 6 with tranny isn't going to bring alot of money unless some one is looking for that set up.

I sold my complete '62 235 6cyl for $200 to a guy that needed it for his '49 Chev pickup. Had 81,000 on it and ran great. Threw in the PG too. I had it in a crate for 12 years and decided I would rather see someone else enjoy it rather than let it languish in a crate forever. The guy fired it up 6 years ago and has been driving it almost daily ever since. bang Leo
