I finally got it!

After 30 years, I finally got an 1886 Winchester. When I was a kid, dad had one and I always wanted one. This one was a limited run of 1000. Caliber is 45-70, 26 inch barell, high grade, engraved and gold inlays, pistol grip stock and cresent butt. Checkered wood and high gloss bluing rounds out the package It shoots even better than it looks! Its a shame to use a nice gun like this, but thats what it was built for. Not to hang on the wall. I am going out whitetail deer hunting today with it. I love lever action guns! My next purchace will be a 1873 Colt style revolver. Dad had an original one of those too!

Beautiful rifle! Good luck hunting! I got my first deer at age 12 with a Winchester lever 30.30.
I probably will go hunting this afternoon, or tomorrow, but will take the Sako duece.

Nice gun

Glad you found one Brian. A guy at work has a 45-70 and shoots silhouettes out to 1000 yards.

I do not hunt Bambi, I hunt the extremely aggressive, territorial, blood thirsty man-eating whitetail buck. The way I figure it, it's either him or me!;)

Beautiful gun Brian!! Candy found me a 30-30 lever action Marlin...the gold trigger one about a year ago at an estate sale. It has a very nice scope on it too. Think she gave $380 for it. Not fancy like yours but it's a mate to the 22 Marlin lever action gold trigger I bought brand new. I think that was it 1972. The gold trigger was an anniversay model. I love lever action rifles!!!:clap:clap:clap:clap

lever action guns

I too have a 30-30 Marlin model 93. Made in 1922-23. Also have a Marlin 1894cb 44 mag, 64 Winchester 30-30, Winchester 9410 .410 shotgun, among others. Lever actions are my favorite! I have been thinning out the heard out a little, making room for some new ones.
