Inner fender foam rubber

Recently I posted on this forum asking about a source for this foam rubber. The reason I wanted this rubber was to replace the sealing ruber around the fresh air vents on my 58 Impala. The old rubber is deterioated and leaks air. This is an annoyance when the weather is cold. I thought this inner fender foam would probably be a good substitute if it could be found in sheet form. I sent a sample to a company in Calif asking for a match and they have it. Style # 4211 Closed Cell Neoprene/EPDM/SBR available in sheet form. This info is posted for anyone who is interested. DR409 you might look at this. The website is www.rubbercal.com. To replace the rubber in your air vents requires removing the kick panel but not the air duct. The butterfly valve in the airway is help in place by two spring loaded pins removable with the damper open.
