it's alive but has low oil pressure

I haven't got the pics yet, but working on them.
I have been dialing in the engine:scratch
I notice that as the engine runs longer, the oil pressure starts to fall.:dunno
When I start it, at idle it has 40 psi.
As I work on adjusting the carbs, notice that the oil pressure drop to 20 psi:scratch
As I watched the oil gauge, I saw it fall each time I rev the engine.:bang
I turned off the engine when it reached 15 psi at idle:eek:
I am using brand new sunpro gauges.
Has anyone had this problem, or know what I should look for:dunno

Thanks

They say 10 pounds for every 1,000 RPM's so your still in the safe zone. When the engine is started cold, the oil pressure will be higher and go lower as it gets hotter.

I would try other gauges to see how accurate this one is. They can vary greatly, even new ones.

That's Not That Low

Mine runs 20psi at 1000 idle. Jumps to 50 with more rpm. I run 5w30 Mobil 1
