Hope you don't get winds there
I think you need bigger equipment!!!Push them up on a big mulch pile. I'm going to start mixing the rabbit and sheep c rap in the leaves. The decayed leaves by themself won't grow a thing.View attachment 98708
We always hope for a little wind to blow them to the neighbors. But the wind is never strong enough.Hope you don't get winds there
Do like my lady neighbor did three houses down one windy day coming from south .Got her blower and blew them out of her yard into street ,then they land in my yard. I watched her do it ,she didn't think there was any problem. We always hope for a little wind to blow them to the neighbors. But the wind is never strong enough.
. Because I was out mowing getting leaves out of my yard that I got from next door neighbors trees and done and she f en blows hers out of her yard. Always wished I had a place in the country and didn't have to deal with stuff that neighbors do.What's the problem?
They may be bad but the worst tree is a sweet gum with the dreaded SPIKE BALLS!!!!!!! Those things don't even break down over the winter, you rake them up and then in the summer you decide to go outside in your bare feet and step on one of those balls that is hiding in the grass, YIKES does that hurt.We have 2 Maple tree's in our yard. Worst tree's ever. Red seedling's, whirlybirds and leaves. The tree next to our house, has damaged both our main roof, and porch roof. One year, we had an unusual heavy snowfall, in October 4, 1987. Snow was too heavy, because the tree's still had leaves on them. Tree branches were snapping off. Sounded like gunfire. Back in 2001 Lightning hit the same tree, and several branches came down and hit the main roof. Luckily the Insurance paid for everything.
I'd cut it down!!!Steve; I think, up our way, they are called Honey Locust. We have two in our yard. They drop green balls, on the ground. The bark of the tree's have 1 1/2 inch long spikes. They grow Very Fast. Luckily, they are further down, in our yard, away from activities.
I'd cut it down.I know the trees you are talking about, we have locust here also with big thorns on the bark. A sweet gum is a beautiful tree and has great color in the fall but they grow these balls that fall to the ground in the winter that are a little smaller than a golf ball and covered with spikes (seed pod I guess), they are a popular tree but the spike balls suck.
The one tree, is right next to our Arrow 10 X 8 shed, our rider mower is in. It will need to come down soon, because it's very close to the shed.I'd cut it down!!!
No shortage. I had two one in front of house and one on side ,they both died. I planted two along side of house they died. I had nursery plant them again they died. I give up on trees.
