The 340 horse builds have a different top end than the 250 and 300 horse builds, notably the intake and carb, the camshaft, etc. Not sure about pistons, but probably higher compression for sure.

I just noticed that your 1960 Pontiac is a Catalina, yet it sports the upgraded Ventura or Bonneville tri-color interior, correct?

Yes, 11.25-1 pistons, also differences include, heads, valves, intake, carb, cam, solid lifters.
Basically the same engine as 360hp FI only with a single 4.

it is equipped with a special security system that kills the engine when it close to KC :laugh2
