Cheap shifter.OK for "normal" driving,speed shifting not so much.

Fenton also made a cheap shifter.It wasn't any better than the Foxcraft either.

The Foxcraft, had a large Nut, under the shifter handle, to hold it tight. After multiple tightening's, the threads would get stripped, and the shift handle would move around.

Same with the early Hurst Mystery Shifters. We had a gigantic adjustable wrench at the gas station and no matter how tight I would get it, it would spin after a few hard shifts, lol. The good 'ol days. My first car, a '58 348, also had a Spark-o-matic.
