Looking for any company that ever made a tri-power set up for the 348-409 engines besides GM's one and only cast iron piece.

Had someone claim on Faceworld that Edelbrock made a tri-power but I'm not aware of any company making tri-powers for the 348-409 family other than GM themselves. Anyone have a picture or maybe an old ad of an aftermarket tri-power intake made for these engines? Not sure why anyone would since the cast pieces are plentiful.

You might check with Rob Walden he had a 60 Chevy at Columbus Super Chevy a few years back that had I believe Aluminum 3x2 intake on it
Not sure if he made or not

Well, if your good with a Tig welder you could always cut and stretch a SBC one to work, or maybe use a Mopar tri-power and adapt it. That's if your good, I know I'm not.

Pontiac made an aluminum tripower intake for their389SD program, can't remember if it was for 59 or 60, but they are few and far between, I personally don't remember seeing any aftermarket tripowers for the W, but there were lots of them for Pontiacs and Olds who also offered OEM tripowers for their engines so I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that some were made for W's.

You know, I just got to thinking about this. What if someone were to take an Offy 2X4 intake and cut out the center of it and make a new tri-power top for it and weld it in there, just a thought. After all, the Offy intakes are like mini tunnel rams.

Anything is possible. I figure our 3d printed intakes will have an updated tri-power and might make one for the large ports too.

That is a hand fabricated one-off intake made to fit the Holley carburetors that are on that engine.
