Minimum height from garage floor to remove cast iron powerglide

What is the minimum height, from garage floor to frame and/or side rail, to remove 58 348 V8 impala's cast iron powerglide transmission using a floor jack (FJ) and a tilting transmission jack adapter (TJA)?

Back in the olden days when the shade tree mechanics removed and reinstalled the transmissions with the floor jacks, I remember the cars were held up on rear axle housing halves. So each housing's length is about...30" or so ???? And they were placed under the rear axle and under the front a-frame. Hope that gives you an idea.
