MSD 8.5mm Plug Wires

Has anyone had any problems getting the multi-angle boots to seat? The diameter on a 409 spark plugs is slightly larger, which seems to be the problem. I'm just wondering if the $80 set is worth the money as the contact with the plug terminal seems loose. I've read previous threads that seem to say good things about these wires but nothing on this particular issue. Any thoughts?

Go to the parts house and get some boot grease.
It`s a silicon based grease made for wires. Helps getting them on and OFF !!

As far as loose fit,,, it may be that the boot just isn`t all the way on .:dunno
These new wires have very good contacts in them ,,dq

DQ and Jim, Thanks for the reply on this. I hate to keep hitting everyone up for help on these simple things, but just want to make sure my "new baby" is given the best. I'll give the grease a try. Mark

grease

It's not a regular grease. It's called dielectric grease. Should be able to get it at Radio Shack.
