Hi,

I'm new the board with a 1962 Belair 2dr Sedan. I bought it as a roller, so the short term plans are to refresh the suspension, brakes and steering components followed by swapping in a motor and transmission. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. Thanks in advance.

What are you thinking in terms of the drive train?

Thanks for the welcome. In the short term I have a 283 and TH350 that I'll install in the next few weeks simply to put around in. Long term, I have all the parts for a 4-speed swap (including T-10); I'd also like to source a 409 however I don't know how realistic that is.

Welcome aboard. .. keep your hands and arms inside the ride at all times and enjoy. One of the best source's for the 409 is just north of you. Check with Jack Gibbs, 409 Performance, he's on the board.

:welcome Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like a great car. Don't overlook a 348 (or stroked 348 @ 434" or so) as a power plant in the future. All the looks of the 409 for less cost. If you go the stroker route with it you will have the performance too.
