I have been looking for a 62 SS for quite awhile .. I have known about this car for sometime and finally got it in my possession a few weeks ago ..
California built , 327 / auto tinted glass and A/C

Hope to have repowered w/ a dual quad 484 , Muncie and a 12 bolt

Just think Denny, all the room you will have in your bedroom when you take out the 409 the four-speed the clutch and other parts.:D Very nice car, seems all I can ever do is dream about one that nice. Congratulations looking forward to updates. Can’t wait to see you burn a tire!!!

Well a year has passed since my Impala has been in my possession and things have changed , i started out to just repower and cleanup under the hood , that has gotten completely out of had ... LOL :dunno:dunnoI have the frame and running gear almost finished , Updating the steering and detailing underneath.

Was looking at your 1st post. Pics of the car. I thought I read something somewhere about California cars having 1 piece bumpers. Is that a different year?

A few of us have 1962 full size passenger cars from CA that do not have the one piece bumpers. Seems they might have "run out" of the one piece units around June 1962. I know of at least two such builds that have been documented.

I think I noted that Denny's back trunk panel did not have the "SS swirl marks" (unless I missed something). That usually designates an early build?
