Was at Maple Grove over the week end, at the Super Chevy Show.
the place was packed with race cars.
I went because there is another 409 racing. This was Don's first event,
and I was there to give him moral support. It's been 30 plus years
since he raced last.
Its a new car, frame off, 409 Bubble top 1962 He did a great job restoring
the car. He got the car running 10.96 to 11.05 In the heat and humidity
this past weekend. He also had a couple of fanastic lights, .004 and a
.000 on Friday's time runs.

I also raced this weekend, made it to the third round until a red light
stopped my progress. Bluescreamer ran a 10.76 on a 10.80 dial, adding
"insult to injure". Didn't compensate for the air.
The weather was real bad Fri and Sat. after the rain Sat night the
air density got better, and the car ran quicker.

darned red lights

Allen, we are going to have to start unscrewing those red bulbs before we race!!! The darned things pop on at the worst times. Still like a flag man better:roll :roll

BTW congrats on the runs. Sounding better. Post some pictures of the new 62 running. always interesting to see new cars out there.
