Hello everyone, I've been visiting this site for some time now, good people here and sounds like your all having fun so I thought this forum would be great to join!


A little about my car, I have a 1962 Impala 283 Factory AC car (air was ice cold) I brought back from AZ, in 1988, pulled the 283 out, dropped in my aluminum headed 454 0.060 over, 12 to 1 motor with a prepped powerglide and drove it on the street till 1992 then in 1993 I pulled it off the frame, sandblasted the frame and underbody, put the body back on the frame. and parked it in a heated garage till now, 2009.

Now (this month) I'm installing a 10 point roll cage, (shooting for the 9's) (just finished making some solid body mounts.) I hope to street and strip the car, with AC!!!

I know its a shame to cut up a AZ car, but what can I say, I Like the car.

Sounds like a fun car. Aluminum heads in 88. pretty sweet for a street car of that era. PICS!!!

Here are a few pics of the car "back in the day", the front springs were, Moog
#6002 and the rear rims were 15 x 8 corvette rallys with the taxi cab caps.

I'll have to look for the pics of the frame off adventure...

Here are a few pictures of the frame off torture. (I can still remember scraping off the undercoating in the wheel wells with a putty knife and a hand held propane torch!!! OUCH!!!
