Thanks again guys, block, heads & crank are at the machine shop. He’s a little backed up. Went back to the place I purchased the block. And bought a 348 block, 2-409 cranks & this 3x2 set up. As for the heads I will probably be looking for some 333’s.

I know this is a old post, but is that engine your discribing the 422 casting number with the 379s cylinder heads a 409 engine? or a 348, and if it a 409 cant I just put in it 409 heads? it does have the releive cut in it plus the oil dip stick is in the driver side , plus I know this is a truck engine

Welcome JRay I know you don’t have something to put that W in yet but what is your thoughts on what you want or would like to put it in and what’s in the T bucket? Exhaust says small block Chevy
