Guys................the new wheels make Roger's car look AWESOME!!!!! I love the "attitude" that they provide!!! Roger's car looked great before but this is just the "icing on the cake" with Roger's car as far as I am concerned!!! I loved it!!!!

Glad you made it home OK Roger!!! You and Randy stop for a chicken fried steak on the way home??????????? Did Randy ever run out of cigars???????????

I guess the super chevy people did not like my car as much as the public did

They moved me from a street class to a full modifyed class, because of my interior

I was showing aganist another 61 with a Lamar Walden fuel injected 409. custome interior with molded in buckets seats in the rear along with buckets in the front, 4 link suspension, molded frame 4 wheel disc brakes and air ride

the other car was a 62 chopped top reverse hood , all molded in fender wheels
full engine cover air ride suspension fully boxed in trunk with custom paint

the class had 13 cars all together, and we won an outstanding in class
( nice way of saying I got third place )

Brian was also in my class

I talked to the judge, and all I got was "sorry but your car has to show in a modifyed class "

I have NEVER shown in a modifyed class ( been showing this car for 4 years now )

anyway it was a nice show excluding the rain all day Sat.
We never got the car out of the trailer on Sat.

I guess their was around 150- 200 cars there on Sunday

Sorry to hear that they changed your class. I don't know exactly how they are classifying the cars now, used to be you had to have body modifications to be in the modified class. I've only been to one Super Chevy Show this year and there were some guys there complaining about being put in the Modified class. I'm in Stock so it didn't bother me. I think they said they had 285 cars at the Virginia show.

They definitely did Roger wrong on changing his class. Modified should be a class for drastic changes...not because you used a different interior material.

That black 61 was very nice!. Paul Atkins Interior, Lamar Walden 850hp 409 and everything Air Ride makes. I wish I could afford 28k for the interior. My wife told me to start saving for it, but I don't know if it is worth it to spend that much.

If you visit the Super Chevy website they have the rules posted, you can read them to see if you think you were put in the wrong class. Andy Hendricks is the chief judge for SC and he's usualy pretty straight.
As for the 28k interior, sometimes I think some of the guys with the modified cars just like to see how much they can spend so they can tell everyone. The top interior shop in this area gets about 14k for their leather interiors, I don't know how you could spend 28k inside a car. I complain cause my stock interior cost 2 grand.
They will also post the results of the show on the SC website in a few days.
