I already posted this in my quasi build thread, but since it continues to be very handy, more photos and in the Tools and Garage area .
My problem has always been engine hoists that don't reach high or far enough to be useful on 4 wheel drives and boats let alone large passenger cars. I built this gantry for a chain fall to fit into my two post car lift. Used it on my Impala and this week used it on my lifted 65 International Scout.
I used the standard drop in pin fittings to interface with the lift arms which allowed me to us the normal extensions for more lifting range. Thought others may be interested if they had a 2 post lift in their shop.
