Clean looking...

I've got to admit, those '62 Converts are really sweet looking :).

This one has a bucket o' tar underneath, looks like selected places (easy to get to and that look good in a photo) but that begs the question of how solid those pans are. Trunk areas look good (or gone over).

Most of the interior looks correct and well detailed.

I do like the Moon covers. Are those the big heads? Can't see the intake well, is it correct? Fan shroud looks right, radiator looks right.

No mention of numbers on block or other key components that I could see.

Overall it presents very well to the photographer. Me, I'd like to see it when it was stripped or know more about its history before I plunked down the cash. Divide by 10 and maybe I could own it???

Cheers,
TomK

The 409 was probably aquired later on, otherwise it too probably would be painted the blue body color just like the trans, and fuel tank.
Somebody figured it could pull big $$$ with the '09 in it.
somewhere in this world is a blue small block chevy that matches that car,.......
now it is seeking a new home.

OK Jim

This the way I see it.

What's wrong??? Here it goes...

Late Edelbrock?? I thought Carters were factory?
disc front brake conversion..not
alternator:grumble:
valve covers:bang
glass bowl fuel filter- not for 62'.:evil
rad cap:stooges
radiator:cuss
trunk mats:mad:
differential..check out the rear cover.:scratch
mufflers
maybe shocks:dunno
tires
wheels:D
tach..can't see clear enough
tach sending unit in engine compartment?
S/S trim..can't see clear enough.:dunno

Based on what I thought was "correct" ... the above maybe isn't.

Well I finally got a chance today to check out this car.
They say it is an oridge `09 car but I`m not sure one way or the other.

What I can say besides the painted under parts, tank etc, this is a really nice car !!!

Excellent paint, interior and trim. Nice job under the hood.
Not a 100 point car but very nice never the less,,,,
Someone spent a lot of money on the resto using all new bolts and nuts etc. but,,
Can``t believe that after all the excellent work they would paint the trans and gas tank though,,,stupid IMO,,,,:takethat

Wouldn`t mind having it in my garage,,,, dq

Not me, I build cars I'm not afraid to drive on the street everyday. At that price, I'd be afraid to use a flash when I took pictures of the car let alone drove it. :roll :roll :roll
