He was wearing a cap and made a fast getaway after buying that second car. That's all I saw officer.

Poking around this evening I heard (rumor quality only) that the two cars above are in the same collection now. Apparently Don had outstanding offers for all four Z-11s. What I don't understand is the guy in the cap that Dave mentions had the winning bid on Both the Old Reliable IV and The the Black Virgil Hargrove cars but not the Allen Green car. Now it appears the OR IV and Allen Green car are in a collection at #1 Performance Center, 253 South Main Street, Columbiana, Ohio 44408

"Just a note Louisiana and Mississippi drag-racer, and legend Jack "Black Trash" Cooley passed away Sunday 5-28-17 in Hattiesburg Ms. He was 91 and still had it in his blood. His last race was when he was 82 and when he stopped to get his timesheet his hand wasn't shaking one bit, at Hub City. He was my brother-in-law and will be dearly missed"

After seeing how the Andretti Indy car and Richard Pettys 200th win car were treated while at the Smithsonian,I would NOT wish that fate on that car!

I was a junior in high school and still rode the school bus (I was 15) anyway I caught the bus next to a shipleys donut store, guess who pulled in there one morning? Black trash 62 Impala on a trailer headed to Houston drags trip. I believe that car had a gold roof! Could be wrong...long time ago! Gene
