Parking brake pedal

Sorry but this response will be a little bit long. There are differences between the 63 and 64 parking brake pedal assemblies. First of all, there are two different assemblies whether the car has factory A/C or not. The release handle rods are different between A/C and non-A/C cars. The rods are shaped differently to clear the driver’s side A/C vent knob. Secondly, the 63 pedal assembly, when set, the pedal comes back to the top. This is like 59 to 62 cars. The 64 version, once set, stays down. Now, the service version Chevrolet provided, the last version before the part went obsolete was the 64 with A/C version. They are interchangeable between A/C and non-A/C cars , 63 and 64. The front parking brake cable is the same. There are reproduction pedals on the market, I have not used one before. There are also NOS pedals that pop up on EBay every once in a while. Even the original 63 version shows up on occasion. I personally prefer the 64 version in operation. Bottom line, if you have a 64 pedal, it will bolt in and function on a 63.
