Well I was planning out my summer project for the Impala. I am going to be rebuilding suspension adding the disk breaks, and rebuilding the steering.
My first thought was to add a new 605 steering box and just rebuild the power steering components. Then I came across a rack & Pinion for about the same cost as all of the power steering components.
From all of my reading and research it seems that a R&P is better (tighter might be a better word) then the steering box. I did a search here and there does not seem to be a lot of discussion on it so I would like to get your options on the merits of a R&P vs steering box?
