I didn’t have daycare today so after dropping the daughter off at school me and the boy went to the local salvage yard to find a alternator bracket and ended up coming home with more than I had planned! I got my bracket, pair of 2 speed wiper arms for a 62, both interior trim pieces, and a complete 61 clutch pedal assembly with all the linkage and dust seal holder! He has a section that is just old cars and trucks and it’s my favorite area to go parts hunting in.1E507AEC-3B2C-4D9D-891D-F7748D2EBAFC.jpeg38BA0D88-B44E-4D48-9F04-07EB4CAA3C42.jpegC7C4A2EF-64C1-4152-B4D5-DE3B11BE45A4.jpeg4BDEC1C9-355B-4775-918E-BAFC8D947BFF.jpegF64A11A1-E1BE-4288-8235-A2740734B0FF.jpegB8478887-0135-4AC5-A146-12A87699669E.jpeg

Yes Bob this is the last yard like this in my area that still has classics in it. I imagine after the current owner passes away the whole yard will probably be crushed and gone. Ray when I was as young as my boy my dad used to take me to yards to pick parts like I did today it was good times! There is still 1 348 in a 58 truck out there. I checked the numbers and it is a 655 block with 58 non water cooled heads on it so someone had to plug the holes in the block. I just don’t know how good the block will be because some of the cylinders have water in them.

That’s a 1961 Chevy set, as Bob says 1 year only, all the parts are unique to the set.
Nate, Is there a large pull back spring on the passenger side of the under dash brace? Most 61 brake and clutch pedals I see are missing this large pull back spring.
Was that yellow 62 hood rusted out?

The Goldwood yellow ‘64 Impala brings back a flood of memories. Looks just like my first car - 300 HP 327 - factory 4 speed - bench seat - tach in dash. :) Can you tell what came in that one?

Yes Paul the large pullback spring is still in this set. It was completely installed in the car yet when I found it today so I was able to get everything except the clutch fork itself. Fuzz I didn’t look that close at the 64 to see how that one was set up. 45D9E019-F48B-49F2-9EDF-3D0744939918.jpegEDF87905-45F0-4DB0-A669-C548F7F26F30.jpeg3450BE2A-0090-44CE-B9FC-A5A0A8236CD2.jpeg
