What is the best spark plug for the 409 engine? Thanks

I can't offer an opinion without knowing what your build is other than to say anything except
Champion.Autolite,AC,NGK will serve you well as long as the plug's heat range matches the needs off your engines build and operation.

It is a 1965 truck engine .060 over Ross pistons, a bit of a cam and dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs. Thanks Don.

exactly. That is why my 409’s plug of choice is AC45XLS

R44XLS would be a good choice for a cruier,R43XLS if you're gonna pound on it often.

Not every body is as good at tuning as you are James.

in my 60 over 348 with ported 1147's and a mild cam NGK BP5ES

I should add that I only beat the crap out of it for a little 11 seconds at a time.
But the ground strap never shows signs of the heat ring going all the way the body of the plug.
