Powder Coating a Water Pump

Quick question before I destroy a perfectly good water pump.

Has anyone powder coated their water pump?

The reason I ask is because I'm worried that the 375 - 400 degrees will damage the seals in the water pump. :eek:

Any advice would be appreciated.

Take it apart............powder coat it and reassamble.
Be sure to protect the bearing surfaces so you don't get any buildup.
In my opinion...this is the only way to do it properly.
