Proper Tach RPM Factory

[65Impala409]

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the proper tach rpm should be for the following applications?

65 Impala 409 400 hp 4spd

65Impala 409 340 hp 4spd

I thought someone with a 65 would reply, but since no one has, I will take a guess.

I have not seen the 65 tach's, but if like 64, the 340 should have a 5000 redline and the 400 a 6000 redline.

I have a 400hp 409 tach at the shop from a TI ing car..... I looked at it last week for an ebay customer....but forgot the exacts....I will look again when I run to the shop tomorrow!!! But its from a TI car...so it might even be different. I have one for the dealer installed on on ebay right now...(a face) under impala409dot_com as the user name.

Its funny you mention this but I was digging around at my watch list and noticed that I have some of your items there...lol If you do get a chance to look at the TI ing 400hp 409 tach please let me know or please post a photo as I am very interested in seeing it... Thank you
