The original engine from my 59 el camino is coming out shortly. Runs great. I refreshed the top end a few years back. If anyone can use it drop me a note. Located on hour south of minneapolis

Hopefully enough to keep up with Curley Joe....

Old skool here, flathead, no ls for me...But then I couldn't hang with my W friends.

When I was 13 or so a 48 Ford single axle dump with a flathead was the first truck I drove. Not licensed, stockpiled gravel from the bins under the rotary screen. Exhaust straight out of the manifolds. Don't recall if than one had brakes or not.

What a sweet engine. I got a lot of crap for buying and rebuilding a '56 235 back in 1991. I paid $100 for the complete engine/Powerglide. It got more and more attention as the years passed. Sadly, I sold the car 5 years ago.
