Rear control arm bolt sizes 58 Impala

Anyone know the correct bolt sizes and grades for the upper wishbone control arm on a 58 Impala. Especially lengths and grades (grade 5 or 8) . Mine seem to have been replaced with grade 5's and too short for a lock washer. Bolts were welded in to prevent them from turning.

Bolt size

Ray, I just went through and restored my 58's rear end (wishbone, lower control arms stripped, repainted, new bushings etc). I'll take a measurement of the attachment bolts and get the info to you. :

Ray, The bolts on my wishbone measured 1.5 inches long and 5/16's dia. I couldn't find my thread pitch gauge to provide that info but I hope this helps you.

FM- thanks , but I was looking for the where the upper control arm bolts to the frame section.

Brian- Thanks but 58's are their own animal.

Got it figured out. The bracket is 2.5 in. apart so going to use 3.25 in. 7/16 fine with a 3/8 thick nut and lock washer, grade 8 like all the other attachment bolts.
