The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for extreme Northwest Florida Panhandle. Schools and businesses are closed Wednesday for an indefinite period. The temperature may drop into the low 20s. Wind speed could reach 15 MPH, dropping the wind chill to fatal levels. Duct tape and blue tarp prices, for covering palm trees, have quadrupled. Heavy snow fall could reach an-unheard-of level of .1 inch. Freezing rain could put up to .05 inch on the sidewalks. Studded tires are back ordered. Sand trucks are standing by. Florida Highway Patrol have recalled all officers for riot duty. Because this massive weather event is forecast to last up to 6 hours, food stores are bare and people are panicky. Lines for gasoline are endless with frequent fighting over places in line. It is going to get ugly out there, folks. I'm staying home and pressure washing the driveway.
