Built and sent this Z-11 model to Shirley Shahan. She said when she opened the package and held her Z-11 she cried. I really had no idea building models of past supers stockers and giving them to racers and friends here would created such an emotional response as it did with many others before. In a way it’s selfish I guess, by making others happy makes me happy, something to quell the inner sadness that hits me when I least expect it. She loved this car and had big plans to race professionally with it then GM pulled the plug on her and the others. Rest is history. 142AF685-FD72-4539-8E12-26EEE805F978.jpegD53AF691-447B-4E70-BF2F-BD693CEEB2F0.jpeg4C0EEF8D-158D-44F7-B8F2-2F0205FB9F9F.jpegD753D25B-2BF6-4A6D-A730-7AACB5927DBC.jpegE15E664F-2DAC-4B3A-B14A-E24F2A0C6BC7.jpeg77E2DDD0-04F8-469D-8CFA-10698612CA67.jpeg248A63D0-70D4-431C-9766-C1260127DB67.jpeg

Raj, where did this car wind up?
Evan, when I spoke to HL way back in 1997 at Norwalk he told me the car was converted to a 327 with the 4-speed and steel nose. Shirley told me they sold it to a young woman in Tulare in 1965. It was seen for awhile and disappeared. It was last spotted in 1969 in a parking lot at Pomona fairgrounds so never seen again. HL still had the original QM 427 engine in a jet ski boat believe it or not

Sounds like you gentlemen all know who she is …..I did not so I looked it up…….For any others, who like me …….did not know
So after commenting that I had never seen this car before I went to George’s website and there were two photos of her car there I do not recall ever seeing a two-tone Z 11………
