small base 2g rochester

The treatment is name DAG 213 and you can purchase it at Ladd Research.com
W Head i have got some of that DAG213 in the mail for the end carbs thanks. spent days sanding blades for a good fit, the dag should take the last bit of light out. hope it stays on there or is it a yearly thing?

I believe that the basically the throttle blades need to be closed (no clearance) in the bore at idle with the blade above the lower (primary) idle hole but below the second and third holes in it's original configuration. The size of the holes are different and are in the specs.
Description, illustration and original specs can be found here:

The DAG213 does not last long if you use fuel with alky in it.

Sorry, apparently that link was changed along with some others that I use right after I posted it.
I found a workaround to the site and found an even better illustration and description in the 2G Manual from 64. I have attached the specific page and also a link to the entire manual.

This is a center carburetor off a 355 small block. This is a original 348 center 3x2 carburetor. This is running with 1.5 inch or so wooden spacer under them.

La Hot Rods, now that is interesting, thank you sir. i see the 1 off idle hole exposed to vacume at idle just like a holley has a tiny bit of the transition slot exposed at idle. looking at my carb there is just enough room for the blade to sit between the first and second hole. the second and third holes are on top of each other.i will do the same tomorrow and go for a drive. 2 holes might move the air nicer through the blade?and give closer adjustment if in your carb as in mine there is no idle air bypass channel for fine adjustment. the wooden heat spacer you used was it also used to place the carb further away from the intake floor?

Not sure what holes your talking about.
The carburetors are the small base 2 jets that came factory on a 348 3x2 set up.
