Stock fuel pump

I need a fuel pump for my 340 hp 409. When I go to the parts store can I get one for a small block? My main concern is that a 409 replacement pump might be a little higher pressure than a 327 pump. I'm going to be starting the engine up for the first time and I don't want the floats in the carb to be blown of their seats durring break in. Can't have any problems!! I don't have my fuel return line hooked up so this is a concern of mine. Any suggestions?

Ross, "cant have any problems?" Sorry, friend , that aint gonna happen. There is always a bug or two. Its part of the game. Do as dq said and put a good quality small block pump on it and fire that sucker up.
