I'm glad to see that we made it into the magazine okay.
bang There wasn't enough cars to do a proper shootout but we still had a fun day at the track. Too bad my transmission started to slip because Gordon and I were running similar times. Gordon's car looks and sounds great going down the track. It has a stock stroke 409 and it sounds like he shifts it at about 8,000rpm.
bang The car really hooks too (see picture) and the weird thing is his slicks are designed to work without any burnout. Jim's 61 had never been to the track before, and as far as I know it never gets driven hard at all. Check out the carbon coming out of the tailpipes on the first pass.
bang But it also looked and sounded good going up the track. I thought it did really good running in the 14's with those skinny little tires.
