Temp gage/idiot light sender mounting for a W engine

Why? Your SW race car mechanical temperature gauge will tell you when 100 degrees has been reached.

Here is a knock off of GM 3837223 that looks like it has enough meat to drill and tap for the sender.

None that point straightforward that I could find.

My housing is aluminum and I liked the way the hose was routed. The top of the housing had a flat spot perfect for the mechanical temp gauge so I just drilled and tapped for 3/4 pipe. At least I’m not adding a new leak point.
