This might tickle a little. If Dave goes on a diet you'll need to break out the cutting torch
Which heads and what kind of flow numbers? Just curious. He keeps unbolting parts from his car so I had to get the grinder out again.
690 heads, not sure of the flow but his ET and mile an hour are on his avatar. I’m curious too I’d like to know what they flow. I had a set of Dart BBC that flowed 410 @ .700 Inches of lift. That’s huge though.Which heads and what kind of flow numbers? Just curious.
Just the iron 690s I've been running. Last time they were flowed was 323 cfm @ .700. I just did a little more refining and laid back the ridge areound the intake valve in the "chamber". Also wanted to do a heavy burr finish to help keep fuel in suspension. I doubt the flow would be picked up much with these minor revisions.Which heads and what kind of flow numbers? Just curious.
I bet it will improve flow. I'll be right over to making silicone casts of the runners so I can take measurements!Just the iron 690s I've been running. Last time they were flowed was 323 cfm @ .700. I would try it. Not sure if I’ll be flowing them again or not.Have you ever tried putting them on a flow bench and putting some putty in the floors of the intake runners to see if your air speed increases? When Ralph took his intake to my neighbor to have it flowed for his 63 they put putty in the floors to raise the intake runners and it picked up an immense mount of airspeed. But Ralph didn’t have the time to do all the intake runner so he bolted it back on.. this was a huge find and pick up of airspeed and flow. This is a Lamar Walden Z 11 intake. He just put this on his car again last fall and went the fastest and the quickest he’s ever went. And has a lot of room for improvement. However what you’ve done with the parts you have is incredible, 690 heads running the ET and mile an hour is incredible. Just a suggestion that you might try to build up the floors a little bit and see what they heads flow. I know will do just about anything to go faster! View attachment 91794
